Our center engages in research to study and recommend policy to manage the effects of climate change. These effects include sea level rise, extreme weather events, ocean acidification, fisheries collapse, forest infestation, food and water insecurity, smog and other health effects, forced migration, and infectious disease spread. The diverse nature of these effects requires a diverse group of researchers. Our current work focuses on disaster and emergency management research, but we welcome collaborations with researchers from diverse disciplines who are interested in helping people and communities manage climate change.
